CyberLink PhotoDirector 365 is a rather complete multimedia editor. It has online tutorials, which you can access through a link directly from the program’s interface; also, the program can guide you on how to edit your files in case you need it. The updates of some features download automatically, as well as some of the required filters and other enhancements.
PhotoDirector has a Premium version, and thus, many features are limited, such as the limited export in the expert mode for the edition by layers, Premium filters, overlays, stickers, cloud storage to access your files anywhere, photo enlargement, almost all the features of the “Create” tool, and many others. It is worth noting that none of the Premium features let you do your work without first purchasing the Premium license, which is a huge disadvantage. However, the features in the free version are rather comprehensive, although it is difficult to work having a watermark.
The program offers options to work with photos and portraits, and also lets batch-editing in case you have a great amount of images to work with.
Among other disadvantages beside the ones I have mentioned is that the program’s interface can be a little confusing for newcomers like me, since it does not show any options regarding its adjustments until you select an edition feature. Also, the downloading of the installation file can take a while, depending on the speed of your Internet connection.
All in all, the free version of the program gives you a glimpse of the Premium version, so you can decide to purchase it or not.
